Assistant Food & Beverage Manager

Position Summary:
The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager position is responsible for assisting the Food & Beverage Manager during all events at the theatre while delivering the highest caliber of customer service to guests.
Major Areas of Responsibility:

- Ability to direct and assign tasks to staff during set up, break down, and during all events in the theatre

- Assists bartenders with POS troubleshooting
- Helps to direct flow of patrons to bar locations
- Tracks product inventory during events to and from stockroom
- Assists F&B Manager with close outs of POS system

Bar Back

Position Summary:
The Bar Back position is responsible for assisting bartenders with the setup and breakdown of bar locations. The Bar Back will also assist bartenders by running product to bar locations during all events within the Theatre.

Coat Check Attendant

Custodian

Position summary:
The custodian position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall aesthetic appearance of the Theatre and the surrounding facility grounds, while also delivering exceptional guest services to all Theatre guests.

- Sanitize, clean, and stock restrooms prior, during, and after events, including Front of House and Back of House areas
- Maintain cleanliness of office spaces

Front of House Manager

Position Summary:
The Front of House Manager is responsible for managing all Front of House operations and the Historic Landmark Tour operations. This role will ensure a high caliber guest experience for all Theatre guests, will address, document, and resolve all guest concerns and emergency situations, and will manage, mentor, and support the Front of House team.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Deliver the highest caliber of guest services during all events and functions within the Theatre
- Be present for all Theatre events to ensure proper event prep, consistent staff performance, and efficient guest service orientated operations
- Responsible for a safe and efficient in-gress and e-gress
- Coordinate start of show, intermissions, and other necessary event requirements with the Production Team
- Schedule, train, and manage Front of House staff, including Assistant Managers, Ushers, internal Security Staff and 3rd party Security Staff, EMT, Doormen, Tour Guides, and Volunteers
- Manage, update, and expand Backstage Tour program to ensure a revenue generating operation
- Respond to escalated emergencies or guest related issues/concerns in a timely manner
- Handle all ADA requests and accommodations
- Collaborate with the Box Office Manager, Food & Beverage Manager and Production Managers on a consistent basis
- Handle all event related documentation i.e. Incident, emergency, employee, security, and house flash reports
- Scout staff to ensure appropriate staffing pool

- Plan, manage and staff all pre and post VIP functions

Individual Giving Manager

Position Summary:
The Individual Giving Manager is responsible for cultivating, soliciting, stewarding, and growing relationships with a portfolio of mid-level and emerging major gift donors. The role serves as a key member of the Development team, supporting individual giving initiatives through portfolio management, board engagement, affinity group partnerships, and donor experience activities.
As a highly visible representative of the Development team, the Individual Giving Manager regularly attends performances and events, engages donors in the donor lounge, and creates meaningful opportunities for constituents to deepen their connection to the organization. The portfolio includes individual donors, prospects, and members of the Board of Directors, reflecting the organization's belief that board members are among its most important philanthropic partners.

Individual Giving – 45%
- Develop and manage a portfolio of mid-level and emerging major gift donors and prospects.

Hearts to Art Healing Counselor

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This unique camp brings together young people between the ages of 7 and 14 who have experienced the death of a parent to discover the healing power of creative play. Through the exploration and creation of theatre, music, dance and visual arts, Hearts to Art encourages communication and collaboration, fosters emotional growth, and provides friendship, compassion, and community. Through interaction with young people who have experienced a similar loss, campers understand they are not alone. AVAILABLE POSITIONS
Healing Counselors (4 positions available) Healing Counselors are preferably licensed practitioners (LCSW, LCPC, LSW, LPC) who work directly with the campers to lead small healing groups 8 times over the 4 weeks of camp (4 times per camp session) to help campers navigate their feelings about their loss and have a safe place to express themselves. Healing Counselors are a contracted position, expected to work approximately 40 hours between June-August. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience working with children, bereavement, grief, and working with high trauma populations. They will have experience leading group sessions, working in play therapy, and creating/customizing their work to a wide range of ages, needs, and personalities. They will have a passion for and belief in the arts, if not experience in the arts. The pay rate is commensurate with licensing.

POSITION DETAILS
Healing counselors must be available for all Mandatory Trainings, First Days of Camp and Healing Session Days as Follows:
• Pay is $20/h for pre-licensed clinicians, $30 for LSW/LPC’s and $35/h for LCSW/LCPC’s during camp and $20/h for all during training
• June 20th staff training for approximately 5 hours at training rate
• First day of each session – July 13th and July 27th (8:30-4:30pm)
• Healing Session Days - July 13th, 15th, 20th, 22nd, 27th, 29th, August 3rd and 5th (times TBD)
• First day attendance is from 8:00-approximately 4:00 and includes a healing session
• Other Healing sessions are in the afternoon and are between a 2–3-hour time commitment, though exact times are not yet set.
• Camp Memorials on the second Wednesday of camp July 22nd and August 5th following a healing session.
• Shows are every Friday afternoon throughout camp (July 17th, 24th, 31st, and August 7th) This is not mandatory as part of the position, but we would love you to join, watch and support!

Hearts to Art Music Group Leader
The Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University Hearts to Art Summer Camp – Music Group Leader Camp Description This unique performing arts camp brings together young people between the ages of 7 and 14 who have experienced the death of a parent to discover the healing power of creative play. Through the exploration and creation of dance, theatre, music, and visual arts, Hearts to Art inspires communication and collaboration, fosters emotional growth, and provides friendship, compassion, and community. Through interaction with young people who have experienced a similar loss, campers understand they are not alone. Small group healing sessions are facilitated by professional healing counselors, providing campers a safe time and place to express and share their feelings. There are also licensed healing counselors on site throughout the duration of camp to offer support to campers as needed. Music Group Leader Job Description The Music Group Leader is responsible for assisting the instructors in Music, and for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of 8-10 campers throughout the day. Group Leaders make every effort to develop relationships with campers and supervise and assist during daily camp activities and during camp performances. Group Leaders work with the Teacher Artist and a Junior Counselor to bring an exciting and educational experience to their assigned group of campers. 2026 Camp Dates: Session 1 (Grades 2-5): July 13 – July 24 Session 2 (Grades 6-9): July 27 – August 7 Group Leaders are present at camp 8:30am-4:30pm. Pay rate $20 per hour. Camp location is St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church 5649 N. Sheridan Rd., Chicago IL 60660 Group Leaders duties include but are not limited to:

Position Summary:
The Server is responsible for delivering the highest caliber of guest services while selling food and beverages during all events and functions within the Theatre.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
-Presents themselves in an upbeat, positive, professional, and friendly manner with guests and teammates
-Takes F&B orders from guests in the theatre in a courteous and efficient manner.
-Accurately rings all items sold and collects payment from guests using the POS system
-Adheres to the theatre’s Food & Beverage policies as outlined in our handbook
-Thanks each guest at the end of each transaction
-Works with bartenders to fulfill drink and food orders
-Checks customer identification when selling alcoholic beverages
-Sidework and other duties as assigned
Experience:
0-2 years
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
-Knowledge and experience working as a server within a large Theatre or high volume environment
-Must be receptive to working in inclement weather and extreme temperatures
-Available to work a flexible schedule, including evening, weekend and Holiday hours
-Work successfully in a fast paced and loud environment
-Able to lift and carry 15 lbs
-Required to stand for long periods of time; ability to bend, lift, and walk up and down stairs
-Excellent verbal and communication skills
-Strong spirit of optimism and collaboration.
-Knowledge of POS systems
-Basset Certified
Salary Range:$16.60/ Hour

-Welcome guest to the Theatre in an upbeat, positive, professional, and friendly manner
-Scan guests tickets, ensuring ticket is valid for performance and give accurate directions
-Greet and escort guests to their assigned seats in an efficient and friendly manner
-Check work area for cleanliness and be sure all pathways are clear of obstacles or trash
-Pro-actively attend to guests’ needs: questions, directions, information regarding the performance, and Theatre policies
-Responsible for a safe and efficient in-gress and e-gress
-Respond to emergencies or guest related issues/concerns in a timely manner
-Monitor audience during events to ensure event policies are followed; ie camera policy
-Assemble and distribute programs to guests
-Collect and return lost and found items to guests

0 – 2 years
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Relevant knowledge, skills, and abilities are the most important qualifications of this position.
-Knowledge and experience ushering within a large Theatre environment
-Must be receptive to working outside in inclement weather and extreme temperatures
-Available to work a flexible schedule, including evening, weekend and Holiday hours
-Work successfully in a fast paced and loud environment
-Able to lift and carry 20 lbs
-Required to stand for long periods of time and walk up and down steps
-Comfortable with heights
-Excellent verbal skills
-Strong spirit of optimism and collaboration
