Help Us Continue Our 130-Year Legacy

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your friendship to the Auditorium Theatre. You have shown me in so many wonderful ways — both at the theatre and during our closure these past few months — how the Auditorium thrives on the shared humanity that we create together.

As someone who loves music, dance, and ideas, I’m grateful in the current intermission to be able to share artistic inspiration, theatre history, and memories with you by phone, social media, email, and more. But to me, being together in the brilliantly radiant Auditorium Theatre is unlike any other joy I’ve known. The reality is that there is simply no alternative to experiencing live performance and the architectural splendor of our National Historic Landmark theatre in person.

As you know, the Auditorium Theatre had to shorten its celebratory 130th Anniversary Season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, without patrons coming through our doors for the time being, we are facing a $1.2 million shortfall this season and we need your help.

Since 1889, the Auditorium has adapted and evolved to serve the people of Chicago in extraordinary ways. I truly believe that, of all Chicago’s monuments, none more accurately embodies the spirit of the city and soul of its people than the Auditorium Theatre. I also know that, without a doubt, your ongoing friendship is the true foundation of our future.

If you believe, as I do, that arts and culture are essential to the vitality and well-being of Chicago, our country, and the world, please consider making a gift to the Auditorium Theatre today. Your kindness now ensures that the Auditorium Theatre will continue its 130-year legacy of uniting us and connecting us through shared experiences of world-class music, dance, and ideas.

If you are in a position to help, will you please give your best gift to the Auditorium today? Though our doors are temporarily closed, your generous assistance at this time makes it possible for us to advance our mission and prepare for the day when I can welcome you back to the Auditorium Theatre safely and splendidly.

Your gift is deeply appreciated at any level.

Sincerely,
Rich Regan
Auditorium Theatre CEO
