Position summary:
The custodian position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall aesthetic appearance of the Theatre and the surrounding facility grounds, while also delivering exceptional guest services to all Theatre guests.

Major areas of responsibilities:
-Sanitize, clean, and stock restrooms prior, during, and after events, including Front of House and Back of House areas

-Maintain cleanliness of office spaces

-Collect and take out trash and recycling

-Clean wood, linoleum, tile and other flooring

-Shampoo and vacuum rugs and carpets

-Dust and sterilize all surfaces, including door handles, banisters, railings, and seating

-Wash exterior and interior windows and sidewalks and Theatre walls

-Handle clean-up of any spills or accidents during an event

-Use special custodial equipment: commercial vacuums, floor buffers and carpet cleaners

-Set up and break down tables and chairs for special events

-Distribute program boxes to all levels of the Theatre

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Previous custodial experience working in a Theatre environment

-Knowledge of chemical cleaners

-Must be receptive to working outside in inclement weather and extreme temperatures

-Available to work a flexible schedule, including evening, weekend and Holiday hours

-Work successfully in a fast paced and loud environment

-Able to lift and carry 50 lbs

-Required to stand for long periods of time and walk up and down steps

-Comfortable with heights

-Strong spirit of optimism and collaboration.

Salary/Range:
$15 / Hour
