Did you know? Louis Sullivan’s interior design for the Auditorium Theatre was lost even during his lifetime – painted over to suit changing tastes. Now that this National Historic Landmark is in our care, we aim to restore Sullivan’s original vision. We are using federal funding to spruce up the whole interior of this significant historic space. We’ve repaired the walls and refreshed the paint. You’ll see – the box seating, stairwells, arches, and balcony lobbies are now revitalized in accordance with Adler and Sullivan’s original vision.
