COVID-19 FAQs and Refund Information

Please check this page for updates regarding the Auditorium Theatre’s temporary closure, including ticketing information, how we’re working to keep the theatre clean, and ways to stay connected to the Auditorium. If you have a question that is not addressed below, please contact us at [email protected].

When will the Auditorium Theatre be able to host performances again?

Although we are eager to reopen, we want to make sure that when the time comes, we are able to keep our patrons, performers, and staff as safe as possible. We are continuing to follow guidelines established by federal, state, and local public health officials, which will determine when we are able to host events again.

In the meantime, the Auditorium Theatre, along with our performing arts colleagues around the world, will continue to advocate for clear guidelines on how and when to reopen safely.

The Auditorium Theatre is a large venue and so many people have visited the theatre. How are you keeping it clean?

Since the theatre closed to the public in March, our custodial staff has been cleaning and disinfecting the theatre at a minimum of four times a week. Included in the cleaning/disinfecting are water fountains, seats and armrests, restrooms, doorknobs, mirrors, garbage cans, concession stands, dressing rooms, our Patron Services Center, our Adler Room donor lounge, and our lobby spaces. The primary cleaner used by our team is the ECOLAB Peroxide Multi-Surface Cleaner and Disinfectant.

How can I support the Auditorium Theatre right now?

There are many ways to support the Auditorium Theatre while we are temporarily closed. If you have tickets to an event that has been canceled, please consider donating the cost of your tickets back to the theatre. If you are able, please also consider making a donation to our non-profit theatre here to help us ensure the next 130 years of the Auditorium.

You can stay up to date with all of our activities while we are closed on our Keeping Up with the Aud page.  You can also subscribe to our newsletter here or follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
