The Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University makes every effort possible to accommodate the needs of all members of the community, and is dedicated to complying fully to the American’s with Disabilities Act. Accessible tickets can be purchased at the box office (located at 50 E. Congress Parkway) or by calling the Patron Services Coordinator at 312.341-2398.

The Auditorium Building is registered as a National Historic Landmark.  Accordingly, some amenities found in newly constructed venues may not available in the theatre and/or lobby spaces. We are especially sensitive to the needs of patrons with disabilities, and provide this information so all patrons may avail themselves to the services of the Auditorium Theatre.

Patron Services
The Patron Services Office is located just inside Aisle One (1) of the main floor and is open during all performances to assist guests with any needs.

Accessible Entrance (Wabash)
The theatre’s main entrance, at 50 E. Congress, requires patrons to navigate three steps to enter the lobby. An alternative accessible entrance is located at the new Roosevelt University Building, 425 S. Wabash Ave, allowing patrons to access the main floor of the theatre without the need to navigate any steps. This entrance is open at all times the theatre is open to the public and is staffed by a Customer Service Representative who will help patrons locate their seats.

Accessible Washrooms
Two (2) accessible unisex washrooms are located on the main floor for patrons who cannot navigate a flight of stairs down to the main washrooms located on the lower level of the lobby.

Accessible Concession and Merchandise Counters
The main floor lobby bar is accessible to patrons in wheelchairs. If a patron requires further aid, staff will provide appropriate assistance.

Assistive Listening Devices
Patrons can obtain infrared assistive listening devices from coat check, which is open seasonally. When coat check is closed, assistive listening devices can be obtained from Patron Services, located off aisle one (1) of the main floor.
Assistive listening devices can be secured by leaving a photo ID and are free of charge.

Elevator
Our new elevator services all 6 floors of the Auditorium Theatre. It is located in the North West corner of the main lobby.

PLEASE NOTE:  Nearly all the seats in the theatre require patrons to navigate steps in the lobby space and/or in the house.
