Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University

Introductory Level Creative Engagement Fellowship Program
2010-2011

The Auditorium Theatre offers a variety of diverse arts opportunities for students and teachers - most of them at little or no cost to the teacher or school!  We always welcome partnerships with schools and hope to expand our relationships with teachers and students.  To help support teachers in developing and facilitating creative learning in the classroom, we are thrilled to once again offer the Creative Engagement Fellowship Program in conjunction with our hosting of the Lincoln Center Institute International Educator Workshop this summer.

The Auditorium has awarded 4 teams of 2-3 teachers from the same school with scholarships to attend the full week of Chicago's Introductory Workshop.  We will continue to work with the same teaching teams throughout the 2010/2011 school year with professional development sessions, visits to the Auditorium Theatre, and help in creating aesthetic education unit plans.  This fellowship will allow an extension of practice in LCI's methods and bolster continued support and learning after the summer workshop concludes.

Accepted school teams recieve:

  • Full tuition scholarships to the Lincoln Center Institute Introductory Level Workshop being held at Roosevelt University Monday, June 21 - Friday, June 25, 2010
  • Tickets for each classroom (up to 35 students and chaperones per teacher) to all three student matinee performacnes at the Auditorium Theatre during the 2010/2011 School year
  • Three profesional development sessions hosted by the Auditorium Theatre that will help you prepare your students to attend the performances
  • Bus transportation for eachclassroom on the day of the student matinee
