This section has lesson plans and activities that you may use in your classroom prior to, during and after your visit to the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University. The following links go directly to the lesson plans which have been designed primarily for students in grades 5-9. Plan a Visit

Plan a visit to the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University! Join us for a historic theatre tour or an exciting performance. The Auditorium Theatre is located on the north east corner of Congress Parkway and Wabash. Have you ever visited the Art Institute of Chicago? We are just a few blocks south west. Plan a whole day in the city of Chicago! Visit the Art Institute of Chicago, visit famous Chicago buildings, attend workshops at the Chicago Architecture Foundation or Chicago Cultural Center and then visit our magnificent Auditorium Theatre for a culminating tour or performance. Whatever your plan, the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University is not to be missed! Share the living history, science and art with your students this year.

The Auditorium Theatre is a powerful way to learning about all of the arts — music, theater, dance and the visual arts — as well as about history and culture. Share the excitement of seeing a live dance, music or theatre performance or joining us for a tour at the magnificent Auditorium Theatre! Spend some time together as a family working with activities linked below before or after your visit- or enjoy our scavenger hunt game while you’re here! Questions and answers are found below. The Auditorium Theatre has been delighting families for over 100 years. Plan your family visit

Plan a visit to the Auditorium Theatre! We are located on the north east corner of Congress Parkway and Wabash. Have you ever seen Buckingham Fountain? We are two blocks just west! Have you ever visited the Art Institute of Chicago? We are just a few blocks south. Plan a whole day in the city of Chicago! Visit the Art Institute or Millennium Park, enjoy lunch or dinner at one of the delicious nearby restaurants and shop on State Street and come to the historic Auditorium Theatre. You can also take tours of Chicago Architecture with our partners at the Chicago Architecture Foundation . Visit our FAQ page for more information on parking and directions. Be sure to arrive at the theatre 15 minutes early so that you won’t miss one exciting minute!
