Fifty-one years after it was last held in Chicago, the National Football League (NFL) will present the 2015 draft at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University.
Round 1 will take place on Thursday, April 30 while Rounds 2-3 will be held on Friday, May 1. The Draft will conclude on Saturday, May 2 with Rounds 4-7. Round 1 festivities will include incoming prospects walking the red carpet on Michigan Avenue, while 32 former players who are members of the NFL Legends community, one representing each team, will be on hand for Round 2 to announce selections.
In addition to the event inside Auditorium Theatre, the Draft will expand outside to Grant Park and Congress Plaza. There will be an outdoor fan festival for all three days where fans of all teams can follow the Draft, enjoy interactive exhibits and autograph sessions with current and former players. What’s allowed and not allowed in the Auditorium Theatre
- Permitted: Small cameras and binoculars;bags that comply with the NFL’s large bag policy (includes clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags, and one gallon clear, plastic bags).And small bags that comply with the NFL’s small bag policy (includes small clutch bags).
- Prohibited: Backpacks; briefcases; binoculars case; camera bags; cinch bags/drawstrings bags; computer bags; coolers; fanny packs; luggage of any kind; purses larger than 4.5 by 6.5-inches; and seat cushions with pockets, zippers, compartments or covers. Aerosol cans; alcohol and food; animals (except for service animals); banners (that obstruct the view of other fans); beach balls; bottles; camcorders; containers of any type; coolers (of any size); frisbees; laser lights and pointers; mace and pepper spray; missile-like objects of any kind; strollers; tripods; umbrellas; weapons, knives and explosives; whistles.
